Key Responsibilities –
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans for instrumental music based on curriculum.
- Teach Western instruments like Keyboard, Guitar, Drums, Violin, Flute etc. to students of all age groups.
- Train students from beginner to advanced level in instrument playing and music theory.
- Incorporate instruments, rhythm, and movement in lessons.
- Plan and prepare students for school concerts, assemblies, competitions and music events.
- Prepare students for practical exams, grade exams and music assessments.
- Conduct after-school music clubs and train students for inter-school events.
- Motivate and build rapport with students to develop interest in instrumental music.
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, positive, and creative music room environment.
- Handle, maintain and manage all musical instruments and equipment properly.
Required Qualification –
- Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Music or related field.
- Diploma/Certificate in Instrumental Music preferred.
- 2 Years teaching experience in schools preferred.
- Strong command over at least 2-3 instruments.
- Ability to read music, teach notes and rhythm
- Excellent communication skills with children
- Patience and ability to work with students of all age groups
- Ability to conduct assessments and maintain records
- Creative and energetic personality
Preferred Qualities –
- Experience in activity-based and play-way instrumental teaching
- Knowledge of organizing concerts, band and ensemble performances
